Later, at the end of 2022, when ChatGPT arrived, I saw many updates and changes in various Google blogs and their areas of documentation. In fact, I also remember that one of Google’s official blogs, which once said they are against automated generated content, changed the line into we are against automatic content that only manipulates search engines.

Now, this blurs the line on whether Google is allowing AI-generated content or not because they changed the line from “they are against automation content” to “they are against automation content that only manipulates search engines.”

Honestly, that tweet was similar, but the meaning was exactly the same. Also, after April 2022, they published a new blog with the title atGoogle we believe the power of AI. We Care High-Quality Content, No Matter How It Is Produced.

Okay, so does this means that now Google is allowing AI-generated content? Because this clearly means that they allow high-quality content no matter how it is created, whether by humans or through AI. Their focus is on the quality of the content and how helpful it is to the reader rather than, the origin of the content.

According to my observation, I strongly think that Google is changing its perspective from simple automation to the quality of AI creation.
I mean, in one of Google’s documentation, they said that they know that automation has helped a lot in content creation, especially in sports news and much more. They also said that AI can help in emotional and creative stuff.

Which means I can conclude that 100% yes! Google allows AI-generated content, but the focus is on the quality of the content. This means we should include our expertise and experience into AI-generated content. We should not directly copy and paste without verifying its accuracy and understanding what the AI is creating.

Obviously! Google’s team has scientists in their company, and maybe that’s why they predict about the future in 10 years, 20 years, or maybe five years ahead. That’s why they predicted that people will use a lot of AI tools to create AI-generated content, and they will not verify it; they will just copy and paste the content and publish it directly because, obviously, everyone wants easy money, right?

And Google has already witnessed that people are publishing a lot of AI-generated content without verifying it. They also know AI can only create what already exists on the Internet. So that’s why they introduced the expertise and experience documentation in one of the blogs.

So, in simple words, I think that Google is saying that they allow AI-generated content or human-written content. They don’t even care how the content is produced; they just care about the quality of the content, what the content is providing, who it is for, and why it matters.
I believe we should focus on the quality of the content and use our expertise and experience in AI-generated content.

The result? Our ranking will grow! Because  Google said they reward high-quality content, no matter how it is produced. So why shouldn’t we use it?
